Education background.
I am mostly self-taught. I started my career in makeup school in Israel but very fast I quit the school and worked a lot and learn a lot by working in the field.
What is your signature style/artistic expression?
As a creative makeup artist, my signature style is all about pushing boundaries and exploring new possibilities with makeup. I love to experiment with bold, eye-catching looks that incorporate innovative techniques and a deep appreciation for color, texture, and form. My goal is always to enhance natural beauty while creating something unique and memorable. Whether I’m working on fashion editorials, campaigns, red-carpet looks, or a more subtle and natural daytime look, my artistic vision is always evident in my work. My style is artistic expression, boldness, and beauty.
What is the first creative project that you remember?
One of my earliest creative memories was from my first month at makeup school when I got my first job as a makeup artist. At that time, I was also a novice dancer. My task was to do body painting for the dancers who were performing in a TV show. As I was working, we realized that we were one model short, and the director approached me to ask if I was a dancer. Without hesitation, I said yes, and the other makeup artists painted me as well. In the end, not only did I do the makeup, but I also ended up performing as a dancer in the show.
What is the most fulfilling job you’ve worked on or a person you have worked with?
One of the most fulfilling jobs I have had was working with Fendi. I was commissioned to create four bodypaintings that would complement their luxurious bags. The project was a huge success, resulting in features in a prominent magazine in Hong Kong and a widely talked-about campaign. It was an incredible experience to merge my body painting skills with the iconic Fendi brand.
Do you have a career turning point, big break, or person that has helped your career?
I made the bold decision to leave Tel Aviv for Milan to pursue my dream of working in the fashion world, and it proved to be a smart move. Since then, I have traveled the world and earned numerous accolades, including several world awards as the best makeup artist, art director in fashion films, fashion makeup artist, and body painter. My success is the result of my hard work, determination, and belief in my artistic abilities. I created my career on my own, without any outside help, and I am proud of what I have accomplished. For me, hard work and self-belief are the keys to success, and I will continue to work tirelessly to achieve my goals and reach new heights in the fashion industry.
What was the scariest and proudest moment in your career?
Those who know me, understand that I am not easily scared and that I have a fighter mentality. However, there is one thing that truly scares me – not being able to work in my dream job. I believe that we are fortunate to be able to do what we are passionate about, and the thought of not being able to pursue my dream career is truly frightening. But I am determined to overcome any obstacle and make my dreams a reality.
What is next for your career goals?
My career goals involve building my own makeup product line, expanding my existing range of makeup brushes, and producing fashion content for brands. I am passionate about creating high-quality content and products, and I’m excited to continue developing my skills and expanding my reach in these industries. With hard work and dedication, I hope to achieve success and make a lasting impact in the world of beauty and fashion.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in your business?
To all the makeup artists out there, believe in yourself and your abilities. Don’t limit yourself to what you learned in school; explore and learn from the creative world around you. Think outside the box and always strive to improve your skills. Dedicate yourself to hard work and never give up on pursuing your dreams. Stay strong, stay inspired, and keep creating. You have the power to transform people’s lives with your artistry, so never stop pushing yourself to be the best you can be.
