What city are you in and where is your salon located?

Canalé Salon is located in Beverly Hills, California.  My other partner salon Canalé Martinez is located in Pacific Palisades, California. 

I work out of many locations, San Francisco, San Diego, Newport Beach, Chicago, Dallas, New York and Washington DC.

Title of what you do and the company you work with? 

I am a true colourist. There aren’t many that specialize in one craft anymore. I always have a stylist on board to showcase the colour I’ve created for a client.

Education Background? 

I studied at Newberry school of beauty in Los Angeles California, along with my math and science background.

What is your signature style/artistic expression? 

I really try to embrace the natural look by working with skin tones, eye tones, and the natural base colour bringing out the clients personal best!

What was your career turning point/ your big break? 

My career change was when I moved from San Fernando Valley to Beverly Hills. That’s when I was recognized as one of the top colourists  by the top hair cutters! (not to mention he created the signature “The Rachael” colour).

What was your scariest and proudest moment in your career? 

My proudest moment as when I was asked to work in Washington DC. by the Reagan administration. It was also a little scary because I was so young, just twenty four years old.

What is next for your career goals? 

Making Canalé products to maintain hair colour and stimulate healthy hair.

What advice would you give to someone just starting out in your business? 

My advice would be to learn as much as possible.  Work with the best and build your own techniques.
