“Put in a lot of energy from your heart, believe in yourself, don’t have expectations and tell your story.“
Martin Rondeau

Artist Photographer & Sculptor for Martin Rondeau Photography Inc.
Featured in art galleries and fashion brands and retailers (Simon’s, Parasucco, Le Château campaigns) and magazine publications (Dress To Kill and many more).
Education background (art school, photography class, self taught)?
I took a photography class at College Marsan, Montreal.
What is your signature style/artistic expression to your work?
My work is always based on the same question and reflection. What is there to hide deeply in us that we do not recognize ourselves? Reflection is like a mirror, a return to one’s self. I play the game of partly hiding information so that you can find out for yourself.
What type of images or people do you like to shoot?
The type of images I like to shoot are basically raw people/nudes. Then I go through my atelier process back and forth until I achieve the artwork I am looking to accomplish.
Do you have a career turning point or big break that has helped your career?
I have two very important turning points in my career. My first was for a fashion campaign for Montreal designer Philippe Dubuc and the second was the opportunity to expose my first art series with gallery owner Brian Brisson at the Galerie Le Royer, Montreal.
What was your scariest and proudest moment in your career?
My scariest moment was when I shot a campaign with model Will Lewis. We rented two motorcycles for a biker look shoot. The motorcycles happened to come from a couple of Hell’s Angel bikers that sat there all day, not saying a word keeping an eye on their bikes. The model Will was so drunk the bikes almost fell over!
My proudest moment is when I got to show my work for the first time in an art gallery.
What is next for your career goals?
To remain realistic.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in your business?
Put in a lot of energy from your heart, believe in yourself, don’t have expectations and tell your story.
