Working on the opening show of the GHD Academy in Leeds.
What is the signature style/artistic expression of your work?
I’m known for my haircutting. I love classic cutting, simple shapes, and lines influenced by Sassoon. I also work extensively with curly hair and educate on curly/textured hair.
What is your most fulfilling job or someone you have worked with?
Working backstage for Bablis Pro and assisting Patrick Cameron on stage at Salon International.
Do you have a career, turning point, big break, or person who has helped your career?
One of the major turning points of my career was winning The AIPP Grandmaster trophy. Seeing my name listed alongside some of my hair idols is unreal.
What was the scariest and proudest moment in your career?
Being the first female British mentor in Paris at the MCB Show for the Young Talent Award.
What is next for your career goals?
I’m currently focusing on education as I feel it’s extremely important to increase a stylist’s confidence in working with all hair textures. I’ve also booked some shoots to create editorial collections and enjoy session work, which I’d like to do more of.
What advice would you give to someone starting your business?
Take every opportunity offered to you, keep learning, and stay creative. It’s easy to get caught up in mundane daily work, but as creative artists, we need to ensure we keep our creativity flowing.
