Education background (school, salons, self-taught)?

Worked alongside some of the best global artists throughout my career. I’ve always been obsessed with education! I frequently attend show events, competitions and virtual events.  You name it!  Twice a year, our salon, Taz brings in an international artist for inspiration and training our staff. I practice daily to explore new techniques. 

What is the first creative project that you remember?

Entering Contessa’s many years ago.

What is your signature style/artistic expression of your work?

Versatility in cutting, styling and the love for avant-garde long hairdressing.

What is the most fulfilling job you’ve worked on or someone you have worked with?

Presentation at KSGE. Although I enjoyed facilitating education. 

Do you have a career turning point, big break, or person that has helped your career?

Joan Harrison inspired me! Introductions to many of the pioneers! Winning Canadian Hairdresser. 

What was the scariest and proudest moment in your career?

Opening Taz Hair Co. 

What is next for your career goals?

Winning NAHA. Building a library on YouTube of tutorials to help stylists master their craft and travel to new destinations. 

What advice would you give to someone starting out in your business? 

Success leaves clues; mentor with the best, work your ass off and don’t let fear prevent you from pursuing your dreams.
