I’m from Melbourne, Australia.

Title of what you do and what company you work with?

I’m Creative Director of Xiang hair in Melbourne.  We have three salons.

Education background (Hair school, salons, self taught)?

I was educated at Biba in Melbourne and didn’t like high school very much. (lol).

What is your signature style/artistic expression to your work?

I’m always striving for beauty.  Even if something I am creating is hard it still needs to look beautiful.  Balance is everything!

Do you have a career turning point or big break that has helped your career? 

My career turning point would be winning Emerging Hairdresser of the Year in 2014, followed by being a member of the Australian Fame team.  I was also a four time finalist for Australian Hairdresser of the Year.

What was your scariest and proudest moment in your career?

My proudest moments in my career is when my team succeeds.  When a junior staff member wins an award or finishes their apprenticeship, it makes me proud seeing the next generation grow.

What is next for your career goals?

My big career goal would definitely be winning Australian Hairdresser of the Year.

What advice would you give to someone starting out in your business? 

Starting out in our business I’d have to say watch everyone and take in as much information as possible, then put it into practice.
