“My next career goals are to continue growing at the pace I am now, keep learning, and if I’m very lucky, maybe inspire a few people along the way.”

Title of what you do: Seeker of truth
Works at: Taz Hair Company, Canada
Education background: Apprenticeship, but still have lots to learn.
What was your first creative project you remember?
My first creative project, The Toronto Star published my poetry when I was in grade one.
I don’t have a signature style. One of my criteria when I create a collection is to do something that I have never done before.
What is the most fulfilling job or person you have worked with?
I’ve worked with so many incredibly talented people and learned something from all of them. JB Mazella changed my career, watching him cut hair ignited my fascination with precision, and watching his love for honoring our craft made me want to do the same.
What was the scariest and proudest moment of your career?
The scariest and proudest moment in my career was opening the Contessa show in November 2022. I respect Canadian hairstylists the most, so I wanted to honor their commitment by showing them something special.
What’s next for your career goals?
My next career goals are to continue growing at the pace I am now, keep learning, and if I’m very lucky, maybe inspire a few people along the way.
What advice would you give to someone starting out in the business?
My advice to new hairstylists is to never limit yourself to one look. We have seen enough balayage.
In order to move our craft forward you need to explore, try new things, not only for your clients, but for yourself too.
