Taz Hair Celebrates 10th Annual Taz Muse: The Artists’ Inspiration
At Taz Hair, education is the cornerstone of our company. Yearly, Taz brings in an international artist to share their expertise and inspire our team each year. On October 28, Taz Hair Co. hosted its highly anticipated fashion show, “Chronology,” at St. Paul’s Church, located at 227 Bloor Street East. The event showcased the evolution of hair and fashion through the decades, featuring a stunning array of looks presented by beautiful models. This year welcomed industry professionals, friends, and media from the three Taz locations, all coming together to inspire one another and celebrate creativity in hairstyling.
“The theme for this year’s event was “Chronology: Decades of Style,” emphasizing our belief that understanding the history of hair and fashion allows us to navigate and predict future trends, ultimately enabling us to serve our clients better. Hair is an art form on a continuous cycle of inspiration and reinvention.” – says Frank Cini, owner of Taz Hair Co.
The show highlighted iconic hairstyles from the 1920s to the 2020s and beyond, starting with the birth of the bob, dreamy waves, iconic shags, afros and many more. The audience witnessed the transformation of styles, from the tomboy haircut of the 1950s to the androgynous pixie cut of the 1960s and the big hair trends of the 1980s. The event culminated in sleek bobs and balayage, pixelation color techniques, showcasing innovative designs such as 3D-printed dresses and electronic hairpieces.
Taz was thrilled to host Kien Hoang from Oribe, who shared his groundbreaking techniques inspired by his work on runway fashion shows for The Blonds and Marrissa Wilson. He also presented a unique look of his own, complete with storyboards that beautifully illustrated his creative inspiration and process.
Taz Hair remains committed to pushing the boundaries of hair fashion and inspiring future generations of hairstylists.
